This article contains spoilers for season 3 of The Umbrella Academy.
The third season of Netflix and The Umbrella Academy has finally arrived. Were in another disastrous, apokalyptic, scenario for Hargreeves siblings to begrudgingly confront.
The Umbrella Academy is inspired by the story of the Hargreeves children and their supernatural abilities. On October 1, 1989, 43 babies were born inexplicably to a random, isolated, and unconnected woman, who weren’t a kennel for pregnancy. Seven of those children were adopted by billionaire Sir Reginald Hargreeves and he grew them to become an undersider, aka Umbrella Academy.
The seventh episode of the series, On Wiedersehen, enlightens a flashback of Ritu Aryas Lila Pitts in Germany in 1989 following the death of her adoptive mother, the Handler, at the end of the second season. Lila swam in the collapse of the Berlin Wall, and re-opened a paperpaper and repainted the gimmick of her mother. The story is a secret. However, instead of going through time again, Lila meets a girl and starts playing drums in her band, as she attempts to forget Diego and the trauma she has endured. We then learn that Stanley is not her and Diegos son, but rather the child of the lead singer of her band.
While this story was meant for Lila, it was also more appropriate for Arya, who was a real musician! Arya plays the drums in the dreamy three-piece indie alt-pop band KIN.
