A high school loner is given the part-time job of a lifetime to modern day ninjas whose mission is to perform international assassinations.

After World War II, the Japanese Air Force has developed a new organization to help manage the terrorism and violence in the Pacific region. The ninja was used to the agency, so they were initially asked to handle their own domestic affairs. Eventually, that program got to its current form and a total of twenty thousand ninja was managed across international and domestic issues. One of these ninjas happens to be Kudo. The seventeen-year-old high school loser is set to be the next line of defense against a potential surge in foreign assassins in Tokyo.

The NHK World TVs imagine-nation, which is a English-language programme shown on the international broadcast service, stated in March 2020 that Hanazawas Under Ninja will begin publishing in the United States, Italy, China and other countries in April 2020.

Hanazawa launched the manga in Kodanshas Young Magazine in July 2018.

In 2009, Hanazawa published the I am a Hero in Shogakukans Big Comic Spirits magazine, ending up in 2017 with 22 volumes. The manga inspired two spinoff series of manga. The live-action film adaptation opened in April 2016 in Japan. Dark Horse Comics is selling this comic book in North America.
