The Thrillers 3D, Penguindrum’s Replica Discura Posted in Film & DVD in a Sequence – the second

The staff of director Kunihiko Ikuharas two Re:cycle of Penguindrum compilation films began streaming an clip from the opening sequence for the second compilation film on Wednesday. The opening sequence features the song "Lees of My Existence" in the film "The Boku no Sonzai Shomei" by Etsuko Yakushimaru. The project has the re-editing of all 24 episodes of the movie.

The staff for the two movie Re:cycle of Penguindrum began to stream the clip from the opening sequence for Wednesday’s second compilation. The opening sequence features an opening theme song by Etsuko Yakushimaru, which is based on the novel Boku no Sonzai Shomei (Proof Your Existence).

The film project is re-editing all the 24 episodes of the television anime, but a lot of it also adds characters and new episodes. The first film, Kimi no Ressha wa Seizon Senryaku (Your Train is the Survival Strategy), is taking place on April 29th. The second film, Boku W. Kimi K.A.A., opened on the 22nd July.

Ikuhara directed the project, and Lily Hoshino is credited for the original character drawings. Hoshino prew the photo above the Princess of the Crystal for the 10th anniversary. Brains base is also well-known for the original television etiquette production, while Lapin Track also produced a film version.

Scriptwriter Takayo Ikami, character designer Terumi Nishii, musical composer Yukari Hashimoto, artistic director Chieko Nakamura (Studio Cocolo), icon designer Wataru Osakabe, sound director Yo Yamada, and sound effects artist Tomokazu Mitsui all returned from original television anime series. The original anime from director Kunihiko Ikuhara (Revolutionary Girl, Yuri Kuma Arashi, a number of Sailor Moon series) aired in 2011. Lily Hoshino, the original manga creator of Otome Yokai Zakuro, was responsible for the 24 episode series.

The psychological thriller begins when a girl named Himari Takakura dies after she went out on a trip with her brothers, Kanba and Shoma. A spirit in a penguin hat has emerged and saved him. But in exchange to help Himaris save lives, they must search for the Penguindrum for the spirit. The siblings are traveling with strange penguins on their journey.

Sentai Filmworks released the anime on the DVD and Blu-ray disc in North America. Ikuhara and Kei Takahashi published three novels from July 2011 to February 2012. Isuzu Shibata launched a manga adaptation in 2013 and ended it in 2017. Seven Seas is publishing the novel and manga versions in English.
