The sequel to the 2D platformer is coming out on Steam on September 13, 2022. But this Thursday, the studio announced that the freedom planet 2 will be released on consoles for next year. The heroes of the fictional world of Avalice must return to service to save their inhabitants from the depth of the sea.

In total four playable characters, you can enjoy the game in three different ways. This adventure mode allows you to follow the story along with one of those four different ways. The Classic mode caters to those who prefer to take part in the action without taking the journey or dialog. Finally, Battlesphere Arena lets you fight to the point of the point of a fight with enemies and even bosses that you’ve already encountered.
When it comes to the new mechanics, we first notice that there’s an indispotable item. Then Frogwares provided a fixed guard for the less adventurous players. And finally, a new inventory system will add new dimension to the fight, with an individual and diverse list of bonuses available, with each one offering unique features and character abilities.
Freedom planet 2 will arrive in summer 2023 on Xbox X|S and Xbox One, as well as on Playstation 5, Playstation 4 and Switch.
