The new digital art exhibition in Nagoya promises a paradise of bugs in a colourful forest

The issue of digital art in the city, like Fukuokas TeamLab Forest and Tokyos TeamLab Borderless, is all the rage now. In combination with interactive experiences that feature lights, color, texture and sound, they’re a feast for the senses and fun for adults and children alike.

If youre a fan of digital art museums and natural world, then you should watch the latest exhibition in Nagoya, the digital art forest. It is an exhibition with a projection mapping system forming a fascinating, mysterious space of bugs in celebration of Jean-Henri Fabre, a French naturalist known for his writings on insects.

Digital Art Forest is a forest of light filled with bugs that glitter as a jewel and flutter around. The makers of this digital communication company, Hitohata, created a gorgeous and unique space of brightness and color. One would like to take time to explore.

It is naturally interactive and responds to the movements of visitors making it a lively experience for everyone who come to see it.

This pop-up digital art exhibition is part of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Fabre Experience Fabres Bugs Exhibition Nagoya, which is in honor of Fabres working and his passion and dedication to studying bugs. The event includes the digital art museum, but a unique exhibit of large bugs like Hercules beetle, rare items – such as those used by Fabre in the authorship of his Insects book, digital forest, virtual-novada, an interactive space where you can easily see the real insects. It will definitely get a hit with your little girl who hates to think about you.

The Digital Art Forest is open from August 28 till September 28th. It’s located in the Kamiyama South Building Museum Tower, located in Nagoya. Tickets to the Experience Fabres Bugs Exhibition Nagoya are for adults and children. At the door of the property, prices for the adults are $1800, a child or two.

The exhibition also offers night tours from 6 to 8:30 in the evening, but those tickets don’t offer advanced purchase discounts and the days are limited, so check in advance if you want to visit the exhibits at night.

If you are going to the Digital Art Forest, make sure you eat dinner or lunch at the Final Fantasy XIV Eorza or the unofficial but sanctioned Ghibli cafe.
