Prime Video released a trailer for its forthcoming medieval comedy, Lady of the Year. The film is based on the best-selling children’s novel whose names are the idiosyncrasies of Birdy that follows the adventures of her father as a ‘chose’ as she tries to circumvent her desires for an innocent woman. Prime Video also released a new graphical copy of this movie.
The year is 1290. In Stonebridge, a medieval English town, the young cat named Mary (Aislinn) is the youngest child of Lord Rollo and the youngest of the couple. Her playground is Stonebridge Manor, a house that, as well as the family, has seen better days. A man who’s frustrated and completely greedy by having paid a handsome salary, Rollo sees his daughter as a sway out of financial ruin, marrying him for money and land. But Birdy, like all the great teen heroines, is spirited, smart, adventurous and ready to put off any suitor that comes calling with the right of an ingenious way. Her imagination, her defiance and deep belief in her own right to independence misstated her on an intricacies with her parents. When the most stupid suitor arrives, they can test their daughter’s ultimate love.

In the movie, Bella Ramsey is Birdy, Andrew Scott is Lord Rollo, and Billie Piper is Lady Aislinn. The cast of that is Joe Alwyn, Dean-Charles Chapman, Ralph Ineson and Isis Hainsworth. The screenplay for the movie was written by Lena Dunham who stars and directs the adaptation.
