That director wants you to watch these films like Netflix Day shift

The new movie vampire hunt is from Netflix day shift and provides an old classic: combined action with comedy into a fun, immersive package. It’s also helpful to have a director like Jamie Foxx and JJ Perry.

First-time director Perry, a veteran stunt performer and action choreographer, brings to this film electrifying action sequences, while Foxx and Dave Franco do the opposite. Perry spoke to Polygon about his love for films that combine the three genres action, horror and comedy.

If you have these three ingredients and execute them perfectly, he says. In the general, you will always have the same impact as the audience.

Before he began, Perry specialized in the John Wick franchise. A longstanding friendship and partner of several filmmakers, a longtime collaborator of his own, led to him receiving many screenplays in his first directorial venture. And many of these stories focused on traumatic experiences in the military. Perry, an Army veteran, wasn’t interested in doing that type of work.

Those people sent me a script and all of them were darker, he said. And because I was on a mission, it was because of my army, and all they were: Oh, this is about a PTSD guy, with a sniper who has PTSD. We want you to do a John Wick movie… then I have that kind of done.

There’s a lot to write about Joel Schumacher The Lost Boys a dark, funny coming-of-age book that works like a crazy adaptation of Peter Pan. If there are two more, that’s a memorable concert, which would have been the famous one – the renowned Kiefer Sutherland. The film’s costumes, work and makeup have inspired this film, and Sutherlands Powers is an iconic villain from a time filled with them.
