Alves in the world of J.R.R.Tolkiens are immortal creatures who keep together many times and therefore are very interesting to everybody else. We met many of them in the noble trilogy The Lord of the Rings and in the Hobbit, but their history and background are clearly presented in Silmarillion. In this article, we will see who were the strongest Elves of The Lord of theRings, including The Hobbit and Silmarillion.
Maeglin
We take Maeglin out of the list of the most powerful Elves in The Lord of the Rings. Levender of the illustrious Elven kingdom of Gondolin, Maeglin – unfortunately, became infamous – gave Morgoth his hidden city spot. He accepted the Turgon House, but grew up as a Torgon’s son. He dreamed about marrying Idril, but his wishes turned out to be true since she fell in love with Tuor.
His jealousy and envy drove him to betray everyone who ever cared about him and, in the end, his death was after he took him from the wall and hurried a fight with Tuor, and soon lost his mind. He also refused to fight against the lord, and then put him to the ring.
Idril
Idril was Turgons’ only child. Idril was a wide-sighted elf, so that he could sense danger and warn anyone on the side of her if anything or anyone suspected that were approaching. She encouraged her husband Tuor to create a secret passage under the city so that everyone can save it in case that the city was attacked.
After the fall of Gondolin, Idril and Tuor became the leader of the exiles, took them out of city, and became their saviors.
Findor
Findor was a sister of Gaddamons. He is named one of the noblest Elves of Finarfin. He was dying saving Beren and even though his strength and strength never be described in detail, his actions show that he was a brave and caring elf.
When he founded the original minas Tirith, he awarded the warriors a rich collection of gold from Valinor. He began to build the town of Nargothrond after discovering the caves beneath the Taur-En-Faroth.
Fingon
Fingon was the Noldorin Elf, the Varyance and the High King of Noldor in the First Age. Fingon was created by thinking, skill and thought. He is respected for justice and has also lived a spirit of democracy.
He prayed his anger, did not preach his words.
He or she is the very greatest of the Rings.
Turgon
Turgon is not one of the most famous, but his house was responsible for one of the greatest victories. He caused Morgoths’ collapse in Wrath in the war.
It was indirectly, but still presumably imagined that Morgoth was always certain that he was going to die at the hand of a person in the house of Turgon. This fear that Turgon caused in Morgoth made him even more powerful than anybody could have imagined.
Haldir of Lothlorien, Sen.
Our next powerful elf from Lord of the Rings is Haldir. Haldir from Lothlorien probably was a Silvan Elf who protected the forests from the northern border. He was wearing a grey hooded cloak and was frequently dressed in the company of his two brothers, Rumil and Orophin. He’s important in the Fellowship since he became his guide to Caras Galadhon, fluent in the Common Tongue and was well acquainted with other people outside Lothlorien.
His character got more attention in the films, based on Tolkiens novels, and there were even differences between his character in the films and books. He has a very important role as a strongman in the defence of the Rohirrim. He fought across the street from Aragorn and bravely and valiantly, but even though Rohirrim suffered a lot of losses, he and his army helped Theodens until Gandalf and his company arrived.
Glorfindel
Glorfindel wasn’t included in the book Jackson, but is present at the library of Elrond for The Fellowship of the Ring which would not be accepted by the authors. He’s an important character in Tolkiens novels. Many distinguishing features feature him in the Most powerful Elves of Rings.
Glorfindel is a teen of the earliest days where he was a thousand years old and the youngest of the eldest Elfs are born there. He is obviously very knowledgeable and very knowledgeable and in the book, he is the one who saves Frodo, not Arwen, as Jackson portrays it. He certainly was one of the liarliest elves. He was so important, and his actions were so important that he became alive with more power.
Arwen
Arwen is Elrond’s daughter and his wife Celebrian, and her father’s daughter is a half-elf. Consequently, she can choose whether she will be immortal or die of old age, like humans. She’s a wise and experienced elf, but when she meet the Fellowship, she gets her life done. In the movie, she got a lot more value for her character, but in the book she’s the main role of aragorns love interest.
But being that, and eventually choosing the heavenly life because of a great love makes her more courageous than we are at the beginning. She becomes the Queen of Gondor, she gives her huge responsibility and power, but her moral strength also shows her insecureness.

Thranduil
Thranduil is the son of Oropher and the Elven king who ruled the Woodlands. He is Mirkwood’s husband and we meet in the Hobbit where he’s portrayed as a flawed father and a ruler. He was stubbornly a leader and led his realm to isolation and refused to give back to those outside the borders who were in need due to the terrors they faced.
He was a somewhat peculiar person who, as he did, could’ve been perceived as selfish, cold-hearted, but by observing the losses he endured for his life, we have begun to understand his actions and choices. He fought against Sauron along with his father. In the War of the Last Alliance, he lost so many of them dear to him.
Celebrimbor
Celebrimbor is a character we didn’t see in the movies, but it should also be mentioned on the list of the strongest Elves in The Lord of the Rings. His talents were responsible for seventeen of twenty Rings of Power. They were later to men and Dwarves.
He has also created three powerful rings, but they don’t contain the corrupting power of the other rings. And so, he is very important to the whole story. Even if we don’t see him, we’re aware of his presence, and always witness the results of his work.

We see in the film Jacksons only for a long time. He is here in the shadow of the Return of the King as Bilbo and his companions arrive at the Grey Havens. Even though he’s in the background, he is highly important to all people and especially the nobles of the rings as an expert of the crossroads helping Elves who want to leave Middle-Earth. He plans to ship and works on the docks. He has no doubt that he’s the oldest elf in the name of the king.
He’s new and sexist, and is the fourth Elf to receive an elven ring. This wisdom of his was very obvious when he recognized the need for his ring for Gandalfs. He gave his hand to help him fight the dark knight.
Legolas
As an Elven kingdom, with Mirkwood and son of Thranduils, Legolas is one of the most popular and mighty Elves in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. He has a lot of talent that he needs to show throughout his entire life. He’s an excellent swordsman and even a better bowsman. He rarely misses his shots.
Even though we are not familiar with his age and his history, he has the same sense of affection, especially when it comes to his greatest attributes, wisdom. He may be stubborn and sometimes even childish, but his wisdom can never fail. He has been widely known for his dwarve intolerance towards dwarves. It is so fulfilling to watch him change across the story. He even gets best friends with Gimli, a dwarf who even couldn’t stand him at the beginning.
Legolas has many good qualities and we’re forced to respect him and his actions. His visionaries became powerful, a friend of mine, and a warrior of yours. He definitely deserves the top 5 in The Lord of the Rings.
Celeborn
Celeborn was a prince of Doriath’s elvish kingdom, but has seen a lot of events. He lived during the first, second, and third centuries, and even though we don’t see and hear too much of him, he is always in a point somewhere. We’re going to give him help and support. He’s just a big-name baby. He knows so much of his experience that is unmeasurable.
Celeborn was a great warrior and the oldest Elves. During the battles and wars, he and Galadriel led their men to a full battle. But still was very strong during the Lord of the Rings, and didn’t fail to disappoint.
Tauriel
Tauriel, who is charismatic and skilled, was rarely accepted among the Hobbits fans a lot because she wasn’t the only female person to join their male group. Tauriel ended up being a reliable and powerful companion with a bow and dagger ability. She proved more open-minded than Legolas, Elrond and many others.
What happened to Tauriel after The Hobbit?
She developed a sense of freedom and knowledge for the world surrounding them and their adornments. She accepted the Dwarves and emptied their centuries-long prejudice and convinced her people to help in the battle that began to become more serious.
Gil-galada, you’re the one.
Gil-galad was High-King of Noldor, one of the powerful Elves of The Lord of the Rings, but also the only one who unfortunately didn’t get a lot of screen time in Jackson’s trilogy. He was a keeper of 3 of the Elven Rings of Power and one of Saurons’ greatest enemies in the Last Alliance. He formed the Last elves and the last men from the same name as an Elves and Men’s Elendil. They defeated Sauron, but not temporarily since he lost power and returned to Lord of the Rings and to its events.
Gil-galad is not present, but his strength and heroism is never forgotten. His greatest courage and immortality is respected as well as the glory of life and death. His great heirs and important achievements are always always regarded as the most iconic and important of all time.
Fingolfin
We’re slowly reaching the top five of the most powerful Elves in the Lord of the Rings. Fingolfin was the first high-resort of the Noldor. His journey to Middle-earth was filled with problems, lies and deceit, but he finally managed to get there. He was described as the wisest and most powerful of his siblings.
His most famous and heroic act was in Middle-Earth where he fought Morgoth with the risk of life-threatening force. Morgoth was even stronger than Sauron and perhaps a key to Tolkiens’ world. He used to resist the creature and his attacks in a very small way, struck him with a blow and left him with a limp.
Feanor
Feanor is not really a friend of any age and we would like to have in terms of strength, but rather a powerful elf, really a companion worth having by your side. Some of his accomplishments should be mentioned when he’s self-interested and paranoid and a sick brother. He created the Silmarils, which were worthless since they were made of powerful trees which blessed and empowered everyone who looked at them.
He might have been more powerful than other Elves since his mother gave him birth to her son. This is what made him born of the greatest spirit. Nevertheless, he wasn’t a popular sexy Elves because of his faulty personality.
Luthien
Luthien often references Arwen because of her beauty and the same love destiny. She also loved a mortal and was ready to do any she should ever do to keep up with him. Her beauty was stunning and often she is considered one of the most beautiful Elves by people who descendant of Arwen.

However her actions are much more important than her choices for private use and her physical appearance. By emphasizing and humming up her husband Adan Beren and his entire court, Beren managed to save the ring from the vicious Morgoth, and put them in a deep-seated sleep. Beren’s help helped the Morgoths, but also to retake the Simarils from his crown.
Elrond
One of the most brilliant, always there to help and ready to help those in need. When he left, he raised an heir to Aragorn, as his son. He was the one who encouraged all the world’s richest people to decide the destiny of the Rings. He was especially loved by his men, but also all other beings, not only because he was great and wise in leadership, but also because he was also a loving man.
He is the oldest elf-regimes who lived from the first and third generation to the beginning of the fourth generation. Strong and powerful individuals, but also skilled and fierce warriors who fought against Sauron in first war. He is the keeper of the Airring, which gives him the power to protect and heal. He could even heal others and had the gift of foresight so he could see far away from Rivendell.
Galadriel
The smallest and most powerful of all Elves in Middle-earth. Galadriel was the best, the wisest, and his power extended beyond the possibilities. She was the King of the Woods of Lothlorien and led it by her husband Celeborn. But she wasn’t merely a great warrior and a mighty ruler. She has been generous and helpful and helped the Fellowship so many times in their quest to save the ring.
She always seemed to be attention-grabbing and appreciated her beauty, particularly her long, golden hair. But his powers were the ones that have never forgotten and always been mentioned. Her power was presumably derived from the ring he possessed the Waterring. In some tales she will be able to communicate in large distances and predict the future.
She was very intelligent and hard to fool and was one of the few people who wasn’t fooled by Sauron during the Second Age.
