The Marvel epic Black Panther: Wakanda Forever maintained its post at the national box office this weekend, racking up 177,000 pounds in its fourth frame. The superhero movie has amassed 393,7 million dollars the year before it made its debut. The sequel is far from the original Black Panthers $3838 billion worldwide gross, though its running 6 percent higher than Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Deadline says. Wharton Forever has one more week to do before James Camerons Avatar: The Way of Water goes to theaters on Dec. 15.
In a surprising turn, Universal/87 Norths Violent Night earned an impressive sum of 33,3 million dollars in its first weekend, which is just below the 17,2 million sum earned in 2015. In light of its R-rating, this is definitely a win for Universal, and it’s interesting to see how high this Santa Claus can fly in the past two weeks. The total total of 200,3 million dollars was raised in this film.
Overall, it was a relatively quiet weekend, and the offerings of the future (besides Avatar) likewise seem minuscule compared to the preceding years.
