For the first time in nearly 95 years, Disney has released a new animated short with the theme of its first mascot, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.
This new animated short features Oswald going to the theater, where he is in love with a star of that film, Ortensia the Cat. This is the first Oswald short produced by Disney, due to the rights dispute that surrounds the character for decades. The short was written by Eric Goldberg and was produced by Dorothy McKim. Goldberg, Mark Henn and Randy Haycock have worked on the animation.

Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was invented in 1927 by Walt Disney. In 1928, Universal bought a license to Oswald, and soon became the iconic Disney character Mickey Mouse. Walt Disney Company acquired Oswald rights in 2006, providing entertainment opportunities for children in the games like the Epic Mickeyseries and Horses.
