A Christmas story arrives on Netflix right after the holidays. This time, the story comes from Italy as a short TV series about family, love and friendship. Netflix really put a lot of effort in expanding its Christmas offering this year, but it was quite an undertaking, but it looks worth it considering it is actually the number of these projects being very important. By a strong cast of funny actors, I’m angry with Christmas as it brings forth more ideas, but the way it unfolds is beautifully executed.
I Hate Christmas is a TV series created by Netflix in Italy and stars Pilar Fogliati, Beatrice Arnera, Cecilia Bertozzi, Fiorenza Pieri and Massimo Rigo. The series tells the story of Gianna, a hard-working nurse who has no romantic partner. The family is anxious about the fact that she will end up being alone forever. So under the pressure, Gianna lies about having a boyfriend and promises she’ll bring her to the family’s Christmas dinner. Gianna has more than one month to find the ideal man.
Christmas is one of those shows that know exactly what it is doing. The writers don’t want to reinvent the wheel in any way, in any form, or in any way. They use the frightenings and conventions of countless other romantic comedies that we’ve seen countless times. Is there something that makes it worth watching Christmas? Is there something that makes the series stand out from the Christmas-as-that Netflix put out for us this year?
A Christmas Mystery Review: A Classic Mystery to take the Christmas spirit with some sparkle.
There aren’t any details of the show which would make it worth a watch. First is the setting. I hate Christmas, set in Venice, and like that, it has an unfair advantage over all Christmas content, Netflix has been pushing out in the past few months. Those shows and movies often become cinematic outside studios. That way, like the lighting of a building, makes it look like everything happens inside a store. I hate Christmas, the beautiful city of the mountains just a lot and the place that you want to visit is perfect.
In many movies and TV shows, Venice often is the city a tourist destination, in which a tourist destination is highly visible. There is, however, a lot of people think city is the same place as city. It’s nice to see the city from that point of view, since people are living, enjoying and suffering on the streets just like the other one. The landscape never falls on the landscape and continues to look as attractive as the whole show.
Other elements that make the show just fun to watch are the characters and the actors behind. The three major characters that Gianna and her friends represent and many men she meets along the way are in their own way beautiful and charming. Fogliati is a brilliant protagonist, her absolutely beautiful, but never comes off as superior or a person stranger. In fact, she makes her character very interesting because she speaks, moves, and reacts to her surroundings.
The rest of the cast receives much less screen time, but they are all charming and fun to watch. Most of the characters are called archetypes; they might make them ludicrous, but unless they are to be shown a few. The show pacing is still moving in a frantic manner, so it’s a good thing if you get it wrong with them. Most of the plotlines are pretty cliche, but they are fun.
The show is very standard, but it is a visual style. The director really doesn’t get an amazing visual show. The characters are the main focus of this story, which makes everyone feel so attractive. The city looks good; some walls seem a bit flat and feel very much like stages, but, at last, these little things are in no way enough to distract from the series. The bigger issue is that the story feels like nothing special, and it feels like the way the season ends well. Is there a need to create a new season for next year? All of that seems pretty well done.
I Hate Christmas is a romantic comedy in the beautiful city of Venice. Since this means that many people will appreciate their time with the show. The series is very short and feels that it doesn’t seem to be so close to the end of the year. This story is very clinguous, and we’ve seen it all the time. Thankfully, the actor is very charming. Pilar Fogliati brings the full show with ease. To explore new people who came from Italy and to get those comfy vibes you want from Christmas stories, this show makes sure that the goals are met.
