Prime Videos original series Harlem is coming back to our screens soon, and season 2 has finally established a date for the release! The show is going to return on Friday, February 3rd. As well as the dates, some first-hand shots from the new season have been released.
Harlem follows four best friends, Angie (Shoniqua Shandai), Tye (Jerrie Johnson), Quinn (Grace Byers) and Camille (Meagan Good) who live in Harlem, New York. Throughout the first season the viewers see each woman pursue their divers career goals and help each other in the next phase of their lives.
When the first season came to an end, Camille learned that her ex, Ian still felt for her and had quit her job. Angie, who appeared in The Musical, lost her job a lot, due to the fact that the musical was not legally approved. While Tye has a massive health scare, she’s forced to confront her husband who fought over the money and the Tyes company. Finally Quinn and Isabela kissed and Isabela accepted Quinn’s offer to date.
Season two will look at the love triangle between Camille, her current boyfriend Jameson and Ian. Tye’s beginning to face off her health, Angie will try and find a financial stability, and Quinn will study her sexuality more. In an interview with Harpers BAZAAR, creator Tracy Oliver also said that this season is very big about Black joy and finding our happiness in the little things that matter most, and learning to accept our version of womanhood instead of the fact that society dictates.
Harlem returns on March 3 at the same time as its predecessor. Season 1 is now streaming on Prime Video. Find out the second season photo here.
