In the latest issue of Famitsu, teachers Yuuro and composer Hideyuki Fukasawa were interviewed regarding the upcoming type-Moon-developed visual novel Witch on the Holy Night.
I’m guessing that the script size of the Japanese-exclusive Tsukihime remake is approximately two times bigger than the original version of Witch on the Holy Night. Perhaps this would be a factor for why the Tsukihime remake wasn’t brought over the West, but who can really say that?
On the other hand, there was confirmed that the recordings for Witch on the Holy Night began as a voice recording, as well as Tsukihimes recordings. In addition, around the time that the voice work for the former began, Tsukihimes recordings were about two-thirds complete. With all of this, it is possible that the development of these titles was once in parallel.

Witch on the Holy Night will be released in Japan, and digitally in the West on December 8, 2022, and West shipments on January 27, 2023.
Witch on the Holy Night is an enhancement edition of the Ghost of Chaos (Mahoutsukai no Yoru in Japanese) published in 2012 in Japan. From aniplex, this console edition will include voices and high-quality artwork, and is a major language choice for English and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional).
The game tells the story of a trio living in a Western town near the town’s edge. Rumors claim witch lives on the place and a witch isn’t so far-fetched. Aoko Aozaki is studying her sorcery at the area under the tutelage of Alice Kuonji.
During the Showa period (the 80s) a young man named Soujuurou Shizuki is dating both of them. He comes from a rural area and slowly adjusted to the new reality of high school in the city. Despite being a normal person, his honest and warm personality makes people feel home.
In the new edition, Theodore kita, Haruka Tomatsu, Kana Hanazawa, Alice, and Yuusuke Kobayashi, Soujuurou.
