Premier Film Schedule December 12-18: New television & films

A much-appreciated horror movie is on Prime Video, which begins December 12-18.

The streaming service will add the Black Phone to its available content on Tuesday, December 13. The movie stars the Oscar nominee Ethan Hawke, and Young actor Mason Thames and Madeleine McGraw. James Ransone, Jeremy Davies, Brady Hepner, Jacob Moran, and Jordan Isaiah White among them. It has reunited Derrickson and Cargill with Ethan Hawke and James Ransone, who all worked together on 2012sSinister.

The film tells the story of Finney Shaw, a shy but clever 13-year-old boy who, in the end, was kidnapped and caught in a soundproof basement by a sadistic killer. When the phone on the wall begins to turn disconnected, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the previous victims. And they are dead on making sure what happened to them don’t happen to Finney.

The Black Phone has been written by Scott Derrickson based on the film he authored with the long-time collaborator C. Robert Cargill, based on the award-winning short story that he wrote for a New York Times Best-Seller 20th Century Ghosts.
