One Piece Odyssey Producer, open to consider a Sequel; Still Wants to Release Games Across Other Genres, Open-ended Doors?

The one-part Odyssey is the first game in a while to enter the RPG series. It is exciting for fans who want a more immersive narrative experience in the One Piece world while allowing their effects on exploration and the ability to become one of the iconic characters.

We asked if an Odyssey would be made into a series.

Hirata shared, first and foremost, that because the series is so immense, I’m going to the point where I’m adamant that trying to recreate One Piece experience in a single genre. Basically, it is probably impossible to, in this case, do this as a RPG, because the series is so powerful. I plan to use more games across the various genres so we can provide the most experiences possible.

He went to the table, but unfortunately we don’t listen to fan feedback, but due to a second, it’ll be down to reception and the way people view the game. It was something that was open to discussion after One Piece Odyssey released and we got more feedback.

We will see a follow-up post in this RPG style after the release. As an avid fan, I’m hoping that based on One Piece is one of the more popular PGs. Since that just seems to work well in a storytelling perspective.
