The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt reveals a wide selection of PS5, Xbox Series and PC patch notes, and developed custom advented fans & more

The developer CD Projekt Red released the patches for the next-generation PlayStation 5 PC and the Xbox X|S native ports of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Here is my review of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PlayStation 5.

PlayStation 5 customers will receive this update at midnight local time, and PC and Xbox customers will receive it at 1 AM CET. Plus, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch will gain their own update, and the patch notes will also be shared soon.

For now, the patch notes for the PlayStation 5, PC, and X|S versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt are listed below and quoted below. Just note that a word has not been pasted, but there were a lot of typos that we have corrected regarding spelling and grammar.

Today, the lighting system was updated.

  • Added AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (SFSR) 2,1.
  • Added mode of photo, which lets players take stunning photographs inside the world of The Witcher 3.
  • Added option to pause the game during cuts.
  • Added an alternative camera option that has the ability to compete with the players and be stronger and more dynamically reacts to combat and movement. You can find this new setting in Options Gameplay under Exploration, Combat and Horseback Camera distance.

PC-specific specifications.

  • Add ULTRA+ graphical settings to the computer, which will dramatically increase the visual fidelity of the game. You can graft the graphical settings for ULTRA+ effect:
  • The number of character’s background is too high.
  • The exposure to the fungus depends on how long it goes.
  • Added support for the 3rd Amendment. Only available on compatible hardware.

Console-Specific Next-Gen version.

  • Improved the quality of graphics on consoles of next-generation. Including increased textures, improved fidelity, shadow quality, greater draw distances and crowd density.
  • The Radiating Mode demonstrates radiant light, a temperature-driven occlusion and an array of vibrations.
  • Performance Mode enables a smoother gameplay with 60 FPS playing time with dynamic resolution scaling for the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X.
  • The Xbox Series S can’t see how it’s going to appear. Quality Mode combines improved resolution with image fidelity with 30 FPS, while Performance Mode targets 60 FPS. It prioritizes smoother gameplay by maximizing visual quality.
  • Use of adaptive triggers and haptic feedback on PS5 DualSense controllers.
  • Added Activity Cards for the PlayStation 5.

  • I added a cross-progression feature between platforms. Your latest saves will be uploaded automatically to the cloud, so you can easily pick up where you left off on other platforms. Cross-progression provides the latest save for every save type. This feature becomes available after you join your account.
  • By signing up for MY REWARDS from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, players will be able to take action the following:

  • Added new side quest, In The eternal Fires Shadow, to Velen. Rewards are created by Neftlix’s Witcher series.
  • Added an alternative appearance for Dandelion inspired by Netflix’ The Witcherseries. It can be activated in Options Gameplay.
  • A Nilfgaardian armor set was added to NetflixThe Witcherseries. You can play the option Gameplay.
  • On the Chinese and Korean side, the voice was included. People choose what consoles are using.
  • There are various improvements and improvements in Russian voice-over, including fixes for accelerated/slowed lines in vast majority of scenes.

Quality of life changed.

  • Added a quick sign cast option. You can put the signs on without the radial menu. You can find it on Option Gameplay.
  • The new map filter has been added. The new filter hides several icons, such as? and boat icons, so that there can be more or less a lot of photos on the map. Those icons can be turned back on and turned off with the all map mode toggle.
  • Assembled the minimum height when it came to fall damage, allowing the player to survive falls from higher heights.
  • Herbs can now be unlocked without adding a huck window.
  • Added options that dynamically hide the minimap and quest objectives when a group is unused or using witcher senses. Here, it’s shown in options video HUD Configuration Hide minimap during Exploration and Time to Use Hide objectives during Exploration.
  • Added the option to slow the game when playing with a controller. Take the left hand right on the left.
  • Added an alternative mode when playing with a controller. Click the left key to get his turn. You can find it in Options Control Settings.
  • Added a possibility to do that without an impact of camera inversion. You can find this in Options Control Panel.
  • A big-game menu has been improved so that bombs, bolts and pocket items can now be switched dynamically without opening the inventory.
  • Added the option to scale the number of pages, from subtitles, chatter to NPC, and dialog-op. I’ve found them here at Options Video HUD.
  • Added several other small fixes, tweaks and quality-of-life changes, including a few secrets that were uncovered by the players.

Gameplay

  • Added the modFull Combat Rebalance 3by Flash_in_the_flesh, which includes two more changes in balance and a few new modifications in gameplay. This modified was curated, and some elements were further tweaked and omitted from all the changes.
  • Scavenger Hunt: Wolf School Gear Fixed a problem where no ring was opened at the Signal Tower.
  • From Ofiers Distant Shores Fixed an issue that could occur in the heart of a bandits hideout.
  • Hard Times fixed a problem where Geralt couldn’t talk or give the blacksmith the letter.
  • During the Westwinds Storm Fixed a problem where the quest could sometimes fail, despite winning the horse race.
  • Echoes of the Past Fixed a problem where, after defeating the Foglets, the quest could go to a point where someone could talk to Yennefer.
  • Wine Wars solved a problem where the quest couldn’t be accomplished if the player destroyed one of the required monster nests during exploration.
  • In certain cases, clearing a wall of the abandoned Inn situated on the southern shore of Ard Skellig was impossible.
  • Fixed an issue where the Grandmaster Wolven Set would not require Mastercrafted items.
  • Small fixes for quests and cutscenes.

The game recently sold 1 million units in Japan with a commemorative share.

If you miss that, a remake of the first series with the Unreal Engine 5 has been in the works. CD Projekt Red also announced that multiple new titles, including from The Witcherseries, will come to their strategy meeting earlier this year.
