The episode started right where it left with Himeno being sacrificed to save the lives of Akis. He did nothing but cut his sacrifice short, but Himeno came away. (perhaps, in the shadow, its not clear).
There is an interesting scene where the Ghost Devils hand is still alive and manages to sneak to Denji and pull his chainsaw, powering her back so he can fight. For the first time, Denji took an approach to a new challenge: Katana. The battle ended almost entirely without matched goals, until Katana Man used his secret weapon. He didn’t know where to look and where she’d gone. While moving at that speed, he could cut Denji in half.
A very significant death count has been recorded this week. Arai was killed. Fushi (who had the unnamed Fiend who can’t be controlled) is dead, along with his partner, who we didn’t learn. (There isn’t any sense whether Fushis Fiend can go away, too). The woman we met at the dinner party is dead, too. Makoda lived in short order, but its unclear how. (But he says he resigns from the beginning of the episode.
We meet two new characters: Tendo and Kurose, who are at least part of Division 4 within a short time.
Makima somehow survives being shot in her head, and we see how her powers are. It was revealed that Makima is able to use life force of a person to kill a person far away. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg with her.
Kobeni survived the attack on Division 4 and can fight off the blonde and Katana Man since they both weakened from Makimas attack. She is a sharpshoot extraordinaire, too, and is fast.
Were left with Kobeni protecting Denji, who still cut in half, and Makima returning to Tokyo to assess the damage. Aki is still badly wounded, and power has disappeared. You’ll find out what’s going on.
