Yen Press announced that they’ll publish the Black Dungeon Castle of Honobu Yonezawa in the west in June 2023. This is Yonezawa-sans novel, and this is the first time his books have been published in English. Some readers may know his adult mysteries series, the classic literature club, which is adapted into an anime named Hyouka, named after the first book.

Throughout his two decades as an author, Honobu Yonezawa received numerous awards, such as Yamamoto Shugoro for his short story collection Mangan and the Mystery Writers of Japan award for the Best Novel whose book Oreta Ryukotsu was written. Black Dungeon Castle has earned two more prestigious awards for the awards that were included in his list of accolades The Yamada Futaro Prize and the Naoki Prize.
