The Star Wars library on Disney+ will grow in the next few years due to a lot of live-action shows. Another of the most anticipated is a series about Ahsoka Tano, a character best known for its animated series The Clone Wars.
The Jedi introduced Ahsoka to the world of live action in Mandaloria Chapter 13. The following are the books you are reading. We’ve also have similar roundups for Andor and Counties 2 and 2 of Obi-Wan Kenobi – 2nd.
What date is Ahsokas likely to be released?
Ahsoka hasn’t given official date yet. The production began in early May 2022, so we expect it to air sometime in 2023.
Who was the cast and the crew?
Rosario Dawson will reprise her role as Ahsoka Tano from The Mandalorian. The character was originally written by Ashley Eckstein in Clone Wars and Rebels, but Dawson has been much more well received so far.
It sounded like the likes of Hayden Christensen in his new role as Anthem – Skywalker/Darth Vader (via The Hollywood Reporter). The two characters were the same bond in The Clone Wars, as Tano was the padawan of a skywalker.
Ahsoka is going to take place on the same day as The Mandalorian, which is five years after the Jedi’s return. Don’t forget that Anakin is in flashbacks or an army ghost.
That’s far earlier than Ahsoka.
Natasha Liu Bordizzo (best known for The Society), joins the cast as Sabine Wren, a young Mandalorian who had dropped out of the Imperial Academy.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who stars in the Birds of Prey and the movie’s Netflix series, will also join the series, though her role isn’t confirmed yet. Ivanna Sakhno is another star with unidentified character.
Making Star Wars reported rumors that LucasFilm cast actresses to play Ahsoka at a younger age. She then added to the movie’s sequel, that he got on in The Clone Wars as a flashback.
The Mandalorians, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni serve as executive producers, while Filoni will also act as a writer on the show. The Hollywood Reporter said that Peter Ramsey, known as the Spider-Verse, will direct at least one episode of Ahsoka.
The Radio Times reported that Filoni warned us that Star Wars Rebels Mandalorian graffiti artist Sabine Wren could join her on her trip but its not official yet.
There are also rumors of the casting of Ezra Bridger, but nobody has been confirmed yet.
What’s this story?
We know that the name of Ahsoka is quite poor at the moment, but it’ll be used as a comparison of The Mandalorian.
Ahsoka mentioned finding Grand Admiral Thrawn (AKA Mitthrawnuruodo), a villain that had probably known the Rebels that vanished with the Jedi in training, Ezra Bridger. We believe that Thrawn will be the main antagonist of the series and that Ezra will play a decisive role in this story.
That is further backed up by the trust of Rosario Dawson from the C2E2 who claimed they were trying to find Thrawn.
We also imagine that we could get more detailed and backstory on Ahsoka time as an apprentice of the former Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and her subsequent battle as Darth Vader.
Ahsoka is apparently tied to another new Star Wars show, Rangers of the New Republic. We also think that we haven’t seen her last and her story overlapping with Mandos.
The showrunner Dave Filoni, who saw an episode with a slight cut, had a positive reaction: “Belowing it, a lot of the time”
