Google has certainly been taking action in the last few years when it comes to toxic behaviour on its platforms. The Internet, and social media in general, can certainly be an unpleasant place, due to some of the basement dwellers lurking around it.
According to the report, the new system will effective roll out on a tiered basis depending on the number of times you’re judged to break the rules.
- The 2nd Warning: 24 hours timeout from making any interaction on the platform.
I think it’s true. If you start to receive a well regarded timeout, your account won’t be barred or saved from the platform.
What do we think?
It’s certainly a good idea that YouTube will become more communicative in this world. That communication is an entirely monolingual street, so you can’t ask me for a 24-hour timeout, either with a recurrence, when it’s not likely to be over.
Overall, it is certainly a step in the right direction.
