Episode 25 of the first seasons, SPY and FAMILY is now coming out on December 24 2022. In the first season, we adapted the first 38 chapters of the PSY x FAMILY manga series, in addition to more side stories and adding other original manga.
Beginning with Volume 7: Chapters 40, 41, 42, or 43 would have been anti-climactic since they are essentially side stories, but they make for a good start to a second season. In order to see this story from the beginning, the time gap between Loid making contact with Donovan Desmond and the Great Cruise Adventure Arc would make sense to position the original film on this transitional time period in the SPY-FAMLY timeline.
