Akihabaras barrier challenger Nadeshiko Sushi ends line
Japanese has a lot of sushi places, where there is also some even sushi chefs from around the country. Most of them are female sushi chefs to watch though
Like in many countries, men outnumber women in restaurants in general Japan But at sushi restaurants, its especially unusual to see a woman slicing fish and pressing rice to make nigiri, hosomaki, or any other type of sushi, with some gourmands saying they simply cant do it as well as men. Some of the reasons thats sometimes given for that opinion is that women have warmer hands than men, which affects the flavor or texture of hand-pressed sushi Other ideas include that perfume or makeup can negatively affect the olfactory senses, as well as that menstruation can confuse the taste buds, leaving female chefs not able to understand the delicate flavors of proper sushi.
All of those claims are more than a little bit confusing though, and they came in October 2010 with the opening of Nadeshiko Sushi in Tokyo’s Akihabara district. Nadeshiko Sushi proudly billed itself as first sushi restaurant in Japan where all the sushi chefs were women in their late teens and early 20s, who had completed training courses at Tokyo Sushi Academy.

Nadeshiko Sushi awaited but closed down Its hard to tell exactly when the restaurant shuts down either Last customer review was reported from April of this year on popular Japanese restaurant review site Tabelog, but Nadeshiko Japan official Twitter account still posts several months later.
NANCYO Sushis last tweet was Sept 5, when restaurant went into restaurant on August 29 Well see you next time, the tweet ironically ends

But while the timing is not too late, theres no reason Nadeshiko Sushi is now shut down No longer operating in Akihabara, now its official website consists entirely of unpublished text notice from Restaurant manager Yuki Chizui We are in different locations now at irregular intervals, so please contact us via email for reservations And thats quite different from any one of the presumptive operating conditions though. A pop-up restaurant firm, operating in whatever short-term venues it can find, would not be asking diners to make first step on emailing their customers, and if Nadeshiko Sushi has pivoted to a catering service, potential clients would be the ones responsible for supplying/offering the spot.

Nadeshiko Sushi says no official explanation for closures, but hope to find another way to get there for its owners hoping to build long-term jobs in sushi
